We take pride in our cattle. We raise 100% Black Angus cattle. 100% means both the mother and father are registered Black Angus and proven to be by the American Angus Association. We work 365 days a year to supply our customers with safe quality nutritious beef.
At SG Angus Farm we are BQA Certified. BQA stands for Beef Quality Assurance which is a program that provides systematic information to U.S. beef producers of how good husbandry techniques can be coupled with accepted scientific knowledge to raise cattle under optimum management conditions.
At SG Angus Farm, we are a second-generation farm located in the heart of the Finger Lakes. We are a cow/calf operation, also selling locally grown, grass fed grain finished beef and pork. Sara’s passion for farming started when she was very young and could purchase her first registered Black Angus heifer to show at the Ontario County Fair. After Sara’s first show in 2014 her love and passion for the Black Angus breed only grew bigger. Every year since then Sara purchased one to two heifers to take around NY state to show at different county fairs. Every year the heifers that were shown would keep having calves that Sara would sell so she could buy more heifers to show the following year. Now in 2024 Sara has a herd of 40 cows. As her passion is the Black Angus breed but it is also bringing the best product to her customers. Her goal and passion is to bring the best quality Angus beef and locally raised pork to her valued customers.
